Cuppa Bella was started in 1998 in Kingston, Washington. Initially the space included the Kingston Frame Shop but in 2010, Marcus & Tonya Croman purchased Cuppa Bella from Mark & Karen Scholl and the Kingston Frame Shop moved to the old North Star building.
Shortly after, the wall that used to separate the two businesses was taken down and living room style seating was added. The back space that used to hold the framing equipment was converted to a kitchen and new paint and trim was added through the entire cafe.
With the addition of the kitchen, Cuppa Bella expanded its menu to include soups and panini sandwiches. In April of 2011, Cuppa Bella began handcrafting and baking their own bagels scones from scratch every morning, becoming the only cafe in Kitsap County to make their own bagels from scratch.
In addition to fine, handcrafted espresso, real fruit smoothies and blended ice drinks, Cuppa Bella offers a variety of bagels: Pizza, Plain, Everything, Paremesan, Garlic & Cheese, Bacon Cheddar, Fire Roasted Jalepeno, Cinnamon Raisin, Sesame Seed, Salt and Pesto & Sundried Tomato. Their scones include: Pumpkin Spice, Lemon Poppy Seed, White Chocolate Macadamia, White Chocolate Cranberry, Strawberry, Maple Pecan, Hazelnut Espresso, Chocolate Orange, Cherry Almond, Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Orange, Chocolate Caramel, Lemon Blueberry, Chocolate Espresso, Gingerbread Eggnog and a savory Bacon Cheddar Basil as well as Gluten Free Scones!
In early 2012, Cuppa Bella made the move to donate all net profits to local charity through grants awarded from the Croman Foundation.
